We are a group of psychologists–psychotherapists and psychiatrists who devote their clinical work to facilitating the processing of grief in individuals affected by a severe loss.
There are various therapeutic approaches through which those who remain can be supported in confronting one of the most difficult tasks that life presents.
This experience, defined as Emergent Post-Loss Experience (EPLE), constitutes the transformative core of the therapeutic intervention.
The capacity to facilitate EPLEs represents one of the most significant discoveries in the field of clinical psychology.
As clinicians committed to the well-being and personal growth of our patients, we leave to them the judgment regarding the ultimate nature of these experiences.
What we are certain of is that emergent post-loss experiences (EPLEs) constitute an exceptionally valuable resource for individuals enduring the pain of the death of a loved one.
Indeed, they give rise to new beliefs and renewed expectations which, taken together, transform the meaning of the tragic event.
The clinical and research model promoted by the Network for Reparative Experience-Based Grief Therapy (REGT Network) emerged from many years of study, clinical practice, and research originally developed within the theoretical and methodological framework of Induced After-Death Communication (IADC). Over time, this work has evolved without adopting the pre-existing framework as a fixed or immutable clinical protocol.
Research activities have focused on the phenomenological analysis of emergent post-loss experiences, their therapeutic impact, and the clinical conditions that facilitate their occurrence.
Accordingly, our approach can be defined as a clinically and developmentally oriented model guided exclusively by scientific research.
For formal reasons related to the use of the designation “IADC,” current clinical and research activities are now situated within a different conceptual framework, consistent with the autonomous development of the model.
Enrollment is now open for the new training in Reparative Experience-Based Grief Therapy.
